HONEY FESTIVAL
Yesterday, we went to the honey festival. before we did that, we walked through the palace grounds of Catherine the Great. Catherine the Great never completed the palace because she didn't like it. I think that she's full of it, because it was really pretty when I went walking through there. After we found the honey festival, we bought so much honey that I think it's the most that we've ever bought in my lifetime. Dad was looking for the white honey, I was looking for the darkish, lightish, translucent honey, and I don't know what Izzy was looking for. I had a great time and I hope to do it again next year.
SOCHI TRIP
In Sochi, I did a lot of things. There was a Flying Fox zip line, there was a ski lift that we took up to 6,500 feet above sea level, we swam twice in the Black Sea (once in the open space and once on the beach), we were able to have a sports competition at the hotel with the other group that left a day before us, so it was nice to see them. The first hotel we stayed in we only stayed in for one night, which I don't get, because it would've been cheaper to stay in the nicer hotel, which was the second one, where we had the sports competition. And supposedly Sochi is the destination of Prometheus's Rock, which we actually saw from a distance. It would be nice to go back to Sochi and do some actual tourist stuff, not just a school group trip for 4 nights and 5 days. It was still a very nice trip. I can't wait to see where I'm going to go for our first full on family trip in a new house and a new destination.
